Billionaire Woman: You Know Your Room Has Bad Feng Shui When Water Drips From An Upstairs Toilet

I absolutely agree with this point: "the only way for you to experience all the new things you want in your life, you need to get rid of the things that are limiting you in your current environment." That is so true and thank you for referencing it in on your site. I really like how you took a bad situation and made the best of it. Way to see the good (feng) and the bad (shui). :)

Thank you Positively Present! :) I've found it happening in my life before, and it's always hard to let go of those things, but in the end it is much better for us.

    Nathalie,

I like the stories about the dripping ceiling and the new iMac! I didn't believe in fengshui when I was younger, and now I do to an extent because when I follow the basic principles, the whole house just feels better.

And I recently got a new computer too! A little Linux that weighs about 900 grams so it's easy to carry around. Wish I'd gotten a Mac, though they're still too heavy for my liking and I'll hold on to my iBook until it crashes before I get another Mac.

My boyfriend was explaining to me that FengShui was more about how to place buildings so they don't get too much sun, or they don't get flooded. It all makes sense if you look at it pratically! :)

Ooh so cool! A friend of mine got a tiny Linux machine too, for easier carrying. I went the desktop route for the bigger screen and space, mainly because I have an office to put it in now. ;) I'm also going to keep my laptop as a traveling companion. Yay for macs and linux!

Hi Nathalie. Great story. And what a "coincidence" that you received the $$$ to pay for the computer on the very day that you realized and decided that you would buy another one. I love when things like that happen.

I'm in-between the falling apart and the repair cycle There seems to be a huge "meantime" gap in my story. I hope to be posting as positive as story as this on my blog soon.

Hi Davina! :) Isn't it funny indeed how the money showed up when I decided it was time to buy my next computer. I love it too!

Oh that's interesting about being in the "in between" stage. I would just keep my positive vision and believe that it will come soon! :)

I feel like I do limit myself by keeping old habits in my life. I'm working on letting these go. Such as putting things away each time I use something instead of letting it pile up. Organizing is a weakness of mine. The more I organize and keep things neat and orderly the easier it is for me to be creative.

I guess it's the Feng Shui of the mind which encourages the Feng Shui of my workspace.

I find myself being much more productive and creative if things are tidy too! I'm not sure if it's FengShui, or just less stuff vying for your attention... but it really works!

Thanks so much for sharing Karl! :)

My neighbours, who live in the suite above mine, had a leak in their bathroom from the shower pipes and I'd be lying in bed hearing, drip, drip, drip. Never came through the ceiling though...and they just fixed it. And I just bought a new computer too for the same reasons as you. I almost felt like I was reading my story on your blog! ;)

I'm going to look into FengShui now that I've read your post. I'm looking forward to learning about it.

That's so funny and interesting Laurie! I'm glad for you that the water never made it through the ceiling. It's so funny how computers and water all seem to happen at the same time, especially for both of us!

Yay let me know how you like FengShui theories. :)

Yikes, water dripping from the ceiling is one issue on its own. But if it's dripping from the toilet above... and not to mention, onto the bed - is another major problem!

Hmm. Glad to hear on the iMac story also. :)

I too was sourcing for a mass sms device for nearly a mth before I got one that suited my needs (and that's after a whole lot of time spent in trying out different software and paid solutions). Today got a deal done and I'm now a happy user of a cool new geek-tool. Yeps! I definitely also got what I asked for. :D

Hi Daniel, yeah I know it sounds really gross when you put it that way! ;) It was a pipe that took water from 3 sources: sink, shower, and toilet... so perhaps not as bad that way. But still, yuck!

Ooh it sounds like a great device! I love geeky things. :)

Finally, I purchased a new iMac with double the RAM and double the hard drive space. That way I will have space to grow into it.

The advantage of technology: it makes our work simple and easy. The disadvantage? Technology forced us to keep upgrading.
