Hi Monika! I love that it rang some bells. You're so clever: you would be forever busy trying to explain the word focusiness. Unless... everyone started using it. I'll need to contact the people who write the Oxford dictionary, so they can include it. ;)

Your post rings so many bells and I can totally identify with that you are saying. You almost have me convinced to use the word focusiness for my business as well. But then I'd be forever busy to explain to people what this actually means.

Thanks Sara, I'm glad you liked it. I get my best ideas when I'm not "busy". Basically if I take a break, a shower, a walk, that's when the ideas start sprouting out. :)

Absolutely Mike. I often found myself using the "busy" excuse, primarily for things like taking breaks, exercising, and doing more high level planning stuff.

Nathalie -- This is my first visit and not my last as I enjoyed this post very much. I agree that being BUSY often takes me away from the really important things in my life. I find that when I stop and rest for a few minutes or longer that ideas emerge that were totally buried in my business. Thanks for sharing this :~)

Great article Nathalie. I really hate the word 'busy' as it is primarily used as an excuse and not when you are really doing something more important.

Sounds like a good audio program as well, thanks for pointing it out!

Yay I'm so happy you started using the word "focusiness" Lance. Maybe it'll catch on? ;) I'm glad that the post was timely. I know I've heard about doing priority stuff first many times before, but it wasn't until I saw that being busy was not helpful that it really hit home.
