After reading a few insightful articles about successful blogging techniques, I have decided to put a more personal touch into this weblog. I am already working on a redesign of the layout, but I thought I would make the first step and talk about my personal expe ... Continue reading »

  • You are absolutely right about information overload. I've read quite a few eBooks myself and one thing I noticed is that most of these are copycat products. The adsense guys all learn from Joel Comm and they paraphrase his material and sell the eBook. The SEO guys copy from Aaron Wall and the Blogging eBooks copy from Darren Rowse and John Chow. It's actually sickening how many copycats are out there.
  • Hi Nathalie,

Another great post. Surprised there are not more comments on this. I am curious to know what sites are making you money.
Also, I think if you stop reading and just start doing, you will be that much closer to your goal.

    Cheers,
    Jeremy
  • Hmmm interesting post, especially since I just read another post on a different site yesterday, which claimed 'passive income' is really a misnomer, as most sites require a fair amount of upkeep....

Pleased to hear this has worked for you, it's at least given me some encouragement to get stuck in and try some different ideas out...!

    Cheers
  • I agree that these opportunities are not really passive income. They require a lot of initial work/innovation plus probably a lot of continued work to maintain the level or success or to build ones brand. I'm really new at all this, but a lot of the methods that are moreso passive are also not generating significant amounts of income for me. But I won't complain, anything helps : ). Hopefully I can use some of your ideas or come up with other ones that will work better for me.

Good article though, and excellent blog. You have put a lot of energy, creativity, and time into this and it definitely shows. So you should take great pride in all your successes!
  • That's true Jules, there is some work to be done, especially at the start. I think learning from others and adapting their methods to work for you is the way to go!

And thank you for the lovely compliment Jules, I really appreciate it! :)

Best of luck on your own journey, I'm sure you will find success through your own path.
