Billionaire Woman: Gratitude Mondays #1: Mondays Are Nice Edition

  • positivelypresent · 8 months ago
Gratitude is so important for living a happy, positive life. I love that you have "Gratitude Mondays." Most people dislike Mondays and thinking about the good things in the life -- the things we have to be grateful for -- is a great way to start off the week. :)

That's what I thought I would do: start the week off with a positive and grateful Monday. I'm glad you're enjoying the series! :)

Thanks for your blog and for sharing your gratitude with us, Nathalie! I'm a big fan of starting and ending my day by giving thanks for things from the past, present and future. Being grateful makes life so much more fun and prosperous!

I've had a lot of negative thoughts enter my mind today. Thanks for reminding me that I need to be grateful for what I have.
I'm grateful for my wife, my health, and our new doggy.
    Cheers!

I am grateful that I FINALLY got back on my Bowflex and back into yoga after a very long hiatus. I started back up again at the end of last week and I feel great!

I'm grateful that I have a job and a house and that the weather is really fantastic!
  • Nathalie Lussier · 8 months ago
Way to go! Bowflex & yoga are awesome. Send some of that great weather up here, but if it doesn't work, just enjoy it for me. :)

    Today I am grateful for:
    1. I'm recovering from a virus, too. Yay.
    2. My bunnies Cleo and Quigley.
    3. Our dog Pootie Doo.
    4. People are still wanting a math tutor. Double Yay! :-)

Woohoo for recovery, Jane! Aww your pets sound adorable. :) And Go Math Tutoring!

I am grateful for kicking my habit of reading newspapers and news Web sites. It's only been about ten days, but I feel incredibly calm, much more more positive, and not at all uninformed.
  • Nathalie Lussier · 8 months ago
Way to go Melanie! I don't read the news anymore either, and it does allow for much more positive and calm experiences. :)

    Hi Nathalie,

I LOVE beautiful notebooks too! Over the years I have used at least 10 journals, and some of these are ugly and some beautiful. I've come to appreciate that beautiful notebooks make a lot of difference when I'm journally and years later when I read back through the entries.

You must be so happy to have had your boyfriend for 3 weeks!
  • Nathalie Lussier · 8 months ago
Hi Daphne, oh my notebooks - yeah! I love looking through my old notebooks. My mom teases me about collecting them, but it's just something I enjoy. ;) I'm glad I'm not alone!

And yes, I am so glad to have been able to spend 3 weeks with him! :)

    Hi Nathalie,
I love this idea - being grateful! And thanks for sharing how your life has been impacted in wonderful ways this past week.

I'm thankful for a great soccer practice that I had with my team of 10 year old I coach. It was one of the best practices we've had in the last couple of years.

I'm thankful for reaching one year of blogging. It's been an amazing journey, and one I'm so glad I embarked upon. So, along those same lines - had I not begun my blog I would never have gotten to know you Nathalie. So, there's another reason I'm thankful for having started my blog - is because that's how I've had the opportunity to meet you, - which has been a gift as well. I'm extremely grateful that our paths have crossed...

I'm late here, I know it's Tuesday - and it's a glorious Tuesday because YOU are getting me thinking about all the good in m life. Thank you Nathalie!
  • Nathalie Lussier · 8 months ago
Hi Lance, don't worry if it's Tuesday. It's all about the gratitude, not the timing. ;) I was actually planning on writing about all the great people I met through blogging for next week. I guess you beat me to it! I'm seriously so grateful to have "met" you too, it's a pleasure to read your blog and interact with you through comments!

Your soccer practice sounds like tons of fun too. Have a great week! :)

I agree, gratitude is so important. I was just gifted with a gratitude iphone application that I'm going to use to keep track daily.
  • Nathalie Lussier · 8 months ago
Wow that's a great idea Leah! I'm so glad you will be able to keep track of your gratitude on a daily basis. :)

    Amen to gratitude!

I use gratitude in my daily prayer and meditations. Firstly, I'm grateful to be alive. I use gratitude constantly, like when stuck in traffic, I'm grateful I have a car or two hands to hold a steering wheel.

Gratitude is an action. By taking care of myself, my friends, and my possessions I show my gratitude.

Whenever I'm feeling in a bit of a funk... I get out a pen and paper and start a gratitude list. This always helps... except when it doesn't. But then I'm grateful knowing that "this too shall pass."

Great site you've got here! Found you via PluginID "Personal Development Face-Off" post.
