People must not fear investing. Everything worth having involves some risk. Even with a job there is the risk of losing it. That's exactly why it's wise to have other income sources and investments. I have multiple sources of income including self-employment, real estate, and I am now looking to start investing in stock. In fact, I am watching the stock of Mentor Capital (MNTR). They have a 20% interest in a biotech company working on clinical trials for a brilliant new breast cancer treatment, which is what peaked my interest. It helps to invest in companies you believe in and want to support.

Re: Break Out Of Your Money Box

thank you for sharing this site.and i will do definitely what you've said. i'm new to your site and give a thumbs up on SU..godspeed!

Re: Break Out Of Your Money Box

Thank you Lola. I'm a big believer that when you set the goal, you will be pulled towards it by overcoming challenges that throw up the limits you need to clear which allow you to grow into the person that can achieve the goal.

In peace, love and success x x x

Lola

Re: Break Out Of Your Money Box

That's awesome Beth! I really resonate with what you wrote here, and I loved how much you are at one with infinite riches and nature.

You are one awesome guy! :D

Re: Break Out Of Your Money Box

Thank you Carla. I've had great results with the Prosperity Game too. I found that some of the things I wrote have come eerily true, and sometimes I think I should have chosen my words more carefully. ;)

Re: Break Out Of Your Money Box

I agree Steve, sometimes when it comes to real money we have a different reaction. That's why writing a check must feel realistic. I haven't done a lot of mock stock investing, but I can imagine the difference between a mock investment and a real one.

Re: Break Out Of Your Money Box

Thanks Dustin. We live an abundant lifestyle. We want for nothing. But we do not have much money. Our bank accounts are small, but our spirits have volume that is yet to be filled. We "totally get" that life is infinite and nature is giving. We count our net worth by the sense of satisfaction we feel in interacting with nature and the people that we draw into our lives.

Somewhere along the line in all of that, we manage to acquire the necessary finances to make it happen with ease.

It is important to ask yourself two questions. First: How can I be truly who I am, in the best possible way? And second: How can I make that work financially? If you answer the first question, the solution to the second one will come of its own accord. It might mean that you will be fabulously wealthy in a financial way. The good part is: you will be wealthy first in spirit.

Best,
John

Re: Break Out Of Your Money Box

I tried The Prosperity Game a few times with surprisingly good results. My problem is consistency and falling back into the same negative thinking.

Great post and I will definitely bookmark (and Stumble) this one.

Re: Break Out Of Your Money Box

I've tried the pretend money trick before but it has never worked for me. The problem is that I know it's pretend money so its not that big of a deal. For example, when I created a mock portfolio of stocks, I was investing left and right and doing pretty well. But when real money came into play, my emotions got the better of me. Excellent post!

Re: Break Out Of Your Money Box

Awesome article! This is a timely post as I begin to think about my goals for 2009.

You went through some pretty interesting techniques. Similar to techniques used in Wishcraft, but with a financial twist. Great stuff!

Re: Break Out Of Your Money Box

They say the hardest million to make is the first million. After that, you know you can do it again, so it gets easier every time.

Excellent culmination of theories. This post is something you need to take one step at a time, for it is filled with many, many jewels of advice. I fully believe, as it is written, that money is a mindset.
